Entry method

Purchase a HeyBear Promotional Pack at a participating 7-Eleven store; scan the on-pack QR code; enter your email address; upload a photo of your itemised receipt; play the digital game (section 3)

Entry limit

One (1) entry per Promotional Pack QR code. One account per email address; multiple entries permitted with multiple packs.

Winner determination

Instant win: 40 winning moments per week for eleven (11) weeks of the Promotion Period, outcome determined at time of play by certified random number generator against a fixed winning-moment schedule.

1. Promoter

1. The Trustee for Hey Bear Trading Unit Trust (ABN 92 604 495 435) (“the Promoter”) is conducting the Promotion for promotional and advertising purposes. The Promoter's address is [U3 63 WILLOW AVE, SPRINGVALE, VIC, 3171] and contact email is [hey@itsheybear.com]. Questions about the Promotion should be directed to that address. The Promotion is conducted with the written consent of the benefiting business, 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd, which is not the promoter and accepts no responsibility for the conduct of the Promotion.

2. Promotion period

2. The Promotion runs from 12:00am AEDT on 1 November 2026 to 11:59pm AEDT on 17 January 2027 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Promotion Period are invalid. The Promotion will proceed regardless of the number of entries received.

3. Eligibility and entry

3. Participation constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Terms and Conditions. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over residing in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania or the Northern Territory. Residents of South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory are not eligible.
4. The following are not eligible: directors, officers, employees, agents and contractors of the Promoter; employees of 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd and its stores; employees of the Promoter's agencies connected with the Promotion; and the immediate family and household members of each of the above.
5. To enter, during the Promotion Period: (a) purchase a HeyBear Promotional Pack (Sour Apple 48g or Cola 48g bearing Scan To Japan artwork) from a participating 7-Eleven store in Australia at its normal retail price; (b) scan the QR code on the pack to access the Promotion microsite; (c) enter your email address and confirm you are aged 18 or over and a resident of an eligible State or Territory; (d) upload a clear photograph of the itemised purchase receipt showing the Promotional Pack purchase; and (e) play the digital game.
6. Receipts are verified by automated validation. Entries whose receipt fails automated validation are reviewed manually within [2] business days; an entry will not be rejected solely by automated decision. Retain your original receipt: the Promoter may require it to validate any prize claim.
7. Each Promotional Pack QR code permits one (1) entry. One account per email address; entrants may enter multiple times with multiple Promotional Packs. All registration details must be true and accurate. Entries generated by scripts, macros, bots or other automated means are invalid.

4. Winner selection and prizes

8. Instant win prizes: 40 instant win prizes are available each week for eleven (11) weeks of the Promotion Period (440 prizes in total), each one (1) HeyBear pack (RRP $5), total value $2,200, claimed at participating 7-Eleven stores in accordance with on-screen instructions within [30] days of the winning play. Instant win outcomes are determined at the time of play by a certified random number generator against a winning-moment schedule fixed before the Promotion starts. The schedule is auditable and cannot be altered by the Promoter during the Promotion.
9. Major Prize: every valid entry is automatically included in the Major Prize draw, conducted at 7:11pm AEDT on 17 January 2027 at the HeyBear office and broadcast live online via @itsheybear on Instagram, using the Easypromos random winner picker. Easypromos is a self-service online platform that is GDPR and ISO 27001 compliant, guarantees the transparency of the draw and provides a certificate of validity. The result cannot be altered by the Promoter and the certificate can be shared with any participant who requests it from the Promoter.
10. Major Prize: one (1) prize valued at $7,400 (RRP, including taxes): a 5-night trip to Tokyo, Japan for the winner and one (1) companion, comprising return economy airfares from [the winner's nearest Australian capital city] to Tokyo ($2,500); 5 nights' twin-share accommodation in central Tokyo — Shinjuku or Asakusa district ($1,000); all meals and daily transport in Tokyo ($1,000); curated experiences — Japanese candy sculpting class, Harajuku confectionery tour, Hakone/Mt Fuji day trip, teamLab Borderless admission ($1,800); HeyBear welcome package ($100); and a $1,000 AUD spending allowance. Travel insurance is not included in the Major Prize; the Promoter recommends the winner and companion arrange their own cover, which may be funded from the spending allowance. The winner and companion must each be aged 18 or over, hold valid passports and any required visas, and travel together on the same itinerary by [17 January 2028], subject to availability and blackout periods [20 December to 6 January, 25 March to 15 April, and 15 November to 30 November]. Attendance at the draw is not required to win.
11. To claim a prize, winners must provide their full name and (where required for fulfilment) a delivery address, and may be required to provide proof of identity, age, residency and purchase. Failure to provide requested proof within [14] days may invalidate the claim.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If a prize (or part of it) becomes unavailable, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any costs associated with a prize not expressly included are the winner's responsibility, as are any taxes arising from acceptance of a prize (the Promotion and prize distribution are subject to current tax legislation).
13. Winners will be notified by email within [2] business days of determination. The Major Prize winner's first initial, surname and state will be published at www.itsheybear.com/scantojapan within 7 days of the draw (by 24 January 2027) for at least [28] days.

5. Limitations and disqualification

14. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or tampers with the entry process, including fraud, use of manipulated or reused receipts, unpurchased or stolen packs, or multiple accounts designed to evade entry limits.
15. Any attempt to hinder the proper conduct of the Promotion, whether by human intervention or automated means, will result in immediate disqualification.
16. Entrants have fifteen (15) days from the date a winner is selected to lodge any justified claim or complaint with the Promoter regarding that selection.

6. Publication of comments

17. Where the Promotion permits user comments or content, no content that is inappropriate, offensive, insulting, discriminatory, or that infringes the rights of any third party will be permitted. The Promoter may remove such content and disqualify the responsible entrant.

7. Unclaimed prizes

18. The Major Prize must be claimed by [5:00pm AEDT on 17 April 2027] (3 months from the draw). The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the winner during this period. If it remains unclaimed, an unclaimed-prize draw will be conducted on 17 April 2027 at 7:11pm at the HeyBear office and online via @itsheybear on Instagram (same method as the original draw), and the new winner notified and published in the same manner as the original winner.
19. Instant win prizes not claimed within [30] days of the winning play are forfeited.

8. Liability

20. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the Promoter, its agencies and 7-Eleven exclude liability for any loss, damage or injury (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from the Promotion or any prize, including its use or any travel, except to the extent caused by the negligence of the Promoter. Where liability cannot be excluded, the Promoter's liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to resupply or the value of the relevant prize.
21. The Promoter is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for any technical failure, network fault, unauthorised intervention or event beyond its reasonable control affecting the administration, security or fairness of the Promotion. If the Promotion cannot proceed as planned, the Promoter may modify, suspend or terminate it, and will take reasonable steps to notify entrants of any substantial change; changes will not disadvantage entries already validly received.

9. Data protection and publicity

22. The entity responsible for processing entrants' personal information is the Promoter, [The Trustee for Hey Bear Trading Unit Trust] of [U3 63 WILLOW AVE, SPRINGVALE, VIC, 3171]. Personal information collected (email address, receipt data, State/Territory of residence and, for prize claimants, full name and delivery address) is collected to conduct the Promotion, including validating entries, conducting draws, awarding prizes and meeting winner-publication obligations. The Promotion platform is provided by Easypromos SL as the Promoter's service provider, which is GDPR and ISO 27001 compliant (Easypromos's own terms and privacy policy are at https://www.easypromosapp.com/terms-and-conditions/ and https://www.easypromosapp.com/privacy-policy/ respectively); entry data is processed on the Promoter's behalf and is not sold or passed to third parties for their own purposes. Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Promoter's Privacy Policy at https://www.itsheybear.com/pages/privacy-policy, which explains how entrants may access or correct their information or make a complaint. Where data is stored or processed outside Australia (Easypromos is EU-based), the Promoter takes reasonable steps to ensure equivalent protection.
23. If an entrant opts in, the Promoter may use their email address for marketing communications; opting in is optional and is not a condition of entry, and consent may be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe facility.
24. The Promoter may request the winner's participation in reasonable publicity related to the Promotion (including name, likeness and photograph). Participation in publicity beyond the regulatory winner publication described in section 4 is voluntary and subject to the winner's consent, without compensation.

10. Amendments

25. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent the amendment does not harm or impair the rights of entrants, and will take reasonable steps to notify entrants of any substantial change or make it publicly available before it takes effect.

11. Governing law

26. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising material, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

12. Agreement

27. By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Promotion, subject to any applicable law and the fifteen-day claim window in section 5.
